Medics at Kawolo Hospital in Buikwe District have laid down tools citing delayed salaries.

The stand by the medics was revealed during the working tour of the Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Mathias Mpuuga, who visited the facility over the weekend.

Philex Kighoma, the representative of staff at the core Administration said they will not go back on duty until their salaries for March and May are fully paid.

“We have decided to go for an industrial action as the last option to awaken the government to understand our plight.”

Kawolo General Hospital is located along the Jinja-Kampala highway, making it one of the busiest health facilities.
