Four Points by Sheraton Grand Opening

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has called upon foreign investors to promptly report any government officials who engage in extortion, demanding money in exchange for licenses, tax waivers, and other investment-related privileges. He made these remarks during the grand opening of the luxurious Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Kololo, a state-of-the-art establishment that aims to redefine Uganda’s leisure and hospitality industry.

The Four Points by Sheraton is a stunning addition to the Kampala skyline, constructed at a cost of $40 million. Its grand opening signifies a milestone in the country’s efforts to enhance its tourism and hospitality sector.

In his speech, President Museveni acknowledged the existence of corrupt officials within his government and urged Indian investors to report such cases directly to him. He expressed his commitment to protecting their property and investments in Uganda and ensuring a conducive environment for doing business.

Museveni further urged Indian and European investors to consider Uganda as an attractive destination for investment, emphasizing that the government would not expropriate their properties.

The hotel’s proprietors expressed their determination to redefine the leisure and hospitality sector in Uganda. With 2,800 bedrooms and a total of 142 rooms in this single establishment, it is poised to have a significant impact on the tourism industry in the country.

Situated in Kololo, the hotel’s rooftop offers a panoramic view of the city, making it well-prepared to compete in the fiercely competitive global tourism market. The Four Points by Sheraton is expected to attract both local and international visitors, contributing to Uganda’s growing tourism sector.
