Mass Immunization Begins

The ministry of health began a country wide exercise for immunization. Children between 9 months and 15 were eligible for the exercise and weren’t restricted to school going children.

The immunization aims to curb infection among children for the killer diseases such as polio and measles. There was a high turn out as parents were very cooperative in most areas but a few areas upcountry faced resistance from the traditionalists.
