Phase out District Women Representatives – Katuntu

Bugweri County MP Abdu Katuntu has asked the government to start thinking of phasing out the positions of district women representatives across the country. He proposes that have each constituency be represented by two legislators, a male and female.

The legislator disclosed this in a Legal and Parliamentary Committee meeting that was interfacing with officials from the Electoral Commission, the office of the Attorney general and that of the Local Government.
