Government Advised to Invest in Herbal Medicine

The government has embarked on the process of documenting and manufacturing herbal medicine to become a major contributor to the global medicine industry.

The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Monica Musenero, says all Universities across the country must include herbal medicine as a course in order to produce enough expertise to execute this government program.

We have learnt a lot and we have opened a new chapter and now we stand in a position to organise our system and negotiate for herbal medicines to have their own path and their own right to exist,” Dr. Musenero

Dr. Patrick Ogwang, the innovator of Covidex herbal medicine says the future of health is herbal as people look for natural solutions therefore government should invest in the herbal value chain.
