Tusker Malt Golf Open comes to a glorious conclusion

Trailblazing has a home at the Next Media Park, and NBS Sport carried on the torch over the last month delivering the first-ever live broadcasts of Golf in Uganda in our coverage of the prestigious annual Tusker Malt Uganda Open Golf Championship that exhilaratingly climaxed with Zambian Robson Chinoi as the Pros’ champion.

Extensive coverage and activations of the month-long event were broadcast on NBS Sport, including the live broadcasts of the final days of both the Amateur and Professional Opens.

NBS Sport dedicated a team of over 40, including hosts, camera operators, videographers, photographers, technicians, digital officers and programming heads, to fully cover the tournament.

Golf now joins a list of other live sports broadcasts that NBS Sport has executed in its short time of existence, such as the Nile Special National Rugby Sevens, the National Basketball League (both regular season and playoffs), the Boxing Champions League, Marathons, among other major sporting events in Uganda.

The 2022 Tusker Malt Uganda Open Golf Championship took place at the world-class Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa, with participants from around the world, including Kenya, Zimbabwe and USA.
