Scores Arrested In Police Operations

Scenes this past week in Kampala as the police raided Katwe and Luwum street, making arrests without explanation.  Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga said there were three operations carried out simultaniously around the city based on intelligence about specific areas dealing in stolen goods.

According to Fred Enanga, the intelligence had been gathered up for months and felt right to act at that moment. Katwe was suspected to have dealt in stolen motorcycles amid the incidents faced by the riders and Luwum street was suspected to have dealt in stolen phones.
